Clean Energy, www.cleanenergyfuels.com, a national provider of fuel for natural gas vehicles, is seeking a Procurement Manager to work with senior management in the formulation of a clear purchasing and sourcing strategy and drive strategic purchasing and forecasting initiatives. This person will perform all materials and components purchasing, inventory control, logistic and contract negotiation activities. Analyzes changes or new issues in materials and supplies to find ways to reduce costs and improve quality. Work across various business units to develop purchasing policies and procedures to support our fast-paced growing organization. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Engineering and Construction and work out of our Seal Beach, CA office.
Responsibilities:
Insure compliant behavior and actions are in place with regard to all applicable Clean Energy Code of Ethics Policy. Monitor suppliers and contractors as appropriate to ensure they work in a manner consistent with the code.
Develops a system to qualify vendors and evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
- Strong working knowledge of and proven hands-on experience in inventory and purchase planning, forecasting, price and contract negotiations
- Strong negotiating skills with demonstrated experience leading complex supplier negotiations with significant cost savings
Designs, implements, manage, and monitor procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.
Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
- Formulates and administers procurement system policies and develops long range goals and objectives.
Facilitate regular meetings with divisional buyers to begin to align the procurement groups on common objectives.
- Lead in the selection of vendors in the issuance of RFPs for goods and services.
Requirements:

Requirements:
Bachelors in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Civil Engineering acceptable) and 3-5 years of project engineering experience including all aspects of project management, project development, project engineering, contract negotiation, multi-agency permitting, team management, and project implementation.
- Development of bid specifications, budgets, cost analysis, manpower management, and project scheduling
- Development and drafting of complete drawing packages, including electrical, mechanical, and site drawings for permitting and construction
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to identify critical areas and implement corrective strategies, procedures and processes
- Experience working with local permitting officials in resolving challenges
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Position Summary:
The Corporate Controller will be responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting and for establishing and maintaining effective controls, policies and systems and developing them in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The Corporate Controller is also responsible for managing all accounting and tax functions for the organization, including oversight of multi-site domestic and international locations. This position reports to the VP Finance & Accounting.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and review of the consolidated financial statements and monthly reporting package. Ensure proper consolidation of entities and application of GAAP. Ensure that financial information is produced accurately and timely.
- Direct and participate in monthly accounting close activities including review of financial statements, account analysis and more complex accounting transactions. Analyze monthly financial and operational performance and provide insightful review.
- Manage and contribute in the preparation of the Company’s SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP and the authoritative guidance related to stock-based compensation, income taxes, business combinations, non-controlling interests, derivative instruments and hedging activities, foreign currency translation, goodwill and other intangible assets, fair value measurements and multi-deliverable revenue arrangements.
- Manage the Company’s financial reporting, income and sales taxes, accounting information systems, general ledger, revenue, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, payroll, etc.
- Review contracts and ensure that terms of the contract are correctly accounted for in the Company’s accounts and disclosed in the Company’s financial statements.
- Coordination of annual external audits and quarterly reviews.
- Assist in the research of authoritative accounting literature.
- Assess, document and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure internal controls over financial reporting are SOX compliant.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting), CPA required.
- Manufacturing experience not required, but a plus.
- 15+ years of experience required, preferably including Senior Manager level experience at a Big 4 CPA Firm and 5+ years of public company controller experience.
- International experience required.
- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX and income taxes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational management.
- Ability to assume a high degree of responsibility and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal, writing, verbal and presentation skills.
