Who Uses Them?
While
increasing numbers of environmentally-sensitive consumers
are purchasing NGVs, the largest market for these types of
vehicles are fleets wanting to reduce fuel costs and lower
emissions. In fact, 40% of buses on order are natural gas
vehicles. Youll also find NGVs among many other types
of fleets, including taxi fleets, courier and delivery fleets,
government and police fleets, community fleets, and trades
and commercial fleets.
To find out if an NGV is right for your business, ask yourself
the following questions:
- Is most of my driving done within a certain urban area?
- Is my business interested in saving on fuel and maintenance
costs?
- Is my business concerned about air pollution?
- If feasible, would I prefer to drive a clean transportation
alternative?
- Does my fleet include vans, pick-ups or large passenger
cars?
- Could I or my business save time by having unrestricted
access to the car pool (HOV) lane in California and Arizona?
If you answered yes to two or more of these questions, natural
gas vehicles may be a viable option for your business. |
