Affordability and sustainability. Together at last.

Reducing carbon emissions doesn’t have to come at a cost. Renewable natural gas (RNG) is a domestically produced biofuel that delivers diesel‑like performance at a lower fuel price, using technology and infrastructure already in place today. For carriers, RNG offers a competitive edge in the market without disrupting operations. For shippers, it provides a credible way to decarbonize the supply chain while bringing greater fuel price stability to transportation. RNG isn’t a future concept—it’s a proven solution already moving freight every day.

Affordable

RNG is a domestically produced, stable-priced fuel that costs significantly less than diesel. Grant funding and incentives may also be available to help make the switch.

Sustainable

RNG dramatically reduces carbon emissions versus diesel, reducing both the Scope 1 emissions of the carrier and the Scope 3 emissions of the shipper.

Powerful

The X15N is a 15-liter big bore natural gas powertrain designed for long-haul applications, with power ratings up to 500hp, torque up to 1850 lb-ft, and a 750+ mile range.

Freightliner, Kenworth, & Peterbilt

The X15N is available in the 5th-generation Freightliner Cascadia, the Kenworth T680 and T880 models, and the Peterbilt 579, 567, and 520 models.

Refueling Infrastructure

A robust network of natural gas fueling stations already exists nationwide. Of our 600+ Clean Energy stations, over 100 are tractor-trailer friendly and open to the public.

Convenient

Fueling at an RNG station is easy, safe, and fast. It’s very similar to diesel, in terms of both fueling speed and process.

Don’t just take our word for it.

“The addition of the new truck with Cummins’ latest clean technology into our fleet falls nicely into our decarbonization plans. Having the power and torque of a larger engine is ideal for many of our routes. We’ve been running on RNG for over 10 years, and today our fleet of nearly 100 natural gas trucks is largely insulated from the fuel price spikes everyone else is experiencing.”

– Kevin Keeney, President of Food Express

“It’s been amazing to see the change of technology. I drove [a natural gas truck] 10 or 15 years ago and it didn’t have the fuel capacity or the performance today. I’m happy to drive this [X15N] truck because the performance and the longevity equals what the diesels provide.”

– Truck driver for UPS

“Very impressed with the set-up of this truck. The power is dialed in very nice for our GVW of 63,500 kgs. The X15N pulls well on extended grades and is exactly what we need to pull these kinds of loads for our customers. In addition, it’s not necessary to always override in manual – the torque is always there in automatic.”

– Truck driver for Mullen

“Driving a natural gas truck is a lot quieter than any other truck that I’ve been in. I can’t wait to take it up the hill. I can tell you right now it has a lot more torque than its predecessor, I can just feel that on the flat surface so I can just imagine what it can do once we start going up the hills.”
