Did you know that near-zero trucks have been operating in the Ports of LA and Long Beach over the past two years? There are 21 near-zero trucks in the Ports that were deployed before commercial availability of the near-zero engine. The trucks were supported through various funding programs from AQMD, California Energy Commission, Port of Long Beach, Port of Los Angeles, Clean Energy and Cummins.

The trucks are operated by TTSI, Pacific 9 Transportation, 4 Gen Logistics, Green Fleet Systems, NFI Interactive Logistics, Orange Avenue Express, and CR&R. The first near-zero truck was deployed in early 2017 and the others were deployed throughout 2017 and early 2018. Collectively the trucks have successfully traveled over 400,000 miles hauling containers and freight.

The future has already arrived at the Ports of LA and Long Beach.
