Clean Energy Opens First Natural Gas Port Truck Fueling Station
to Support Landmark LA/Long Beach Ports Clean Air Plan

On Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, Clean Energy hosted ceremonies to officially open a major new liquefied natural gas (LNG) truck fueling station designed specifically to support the goals of the San Pedro Bay Ports’ historic Clean Air Action Plan.  The CAAP plan seeks to reduce overall harmful diesel fuel emissions from port sources by nearly 50 percent in five years. Among top officials on hand for the opening were: Boone Pickens, Clean Energy founder; Andrew Littlefair, Clean Energy President and CEO; Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa; and Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster.
